I've got a few of them and when I purchased the Amazon Fire, I thought that Otterbox would have a case for it and I would certainly purchase it. ( I wonder why ) So I checked out many of the cases available for the Amazon Fire both online and at local stores but couldn't find one that I was happy with. Then I came across a post on the internet regarding cases and the Gumdrop line of cases was mentioned and given very good reviews. Plus, they had one for the Fire! I checked their website and sure enough, there it was. It looked good. Sturdy, thick rubberized material around the edges and it came with a " plastic (?) " built in screen cover. It was exactly what I was looking for. A strong durable case for extra abuse from kids. I like the extra plastic layer that is replaceable for the screen. My 2 year old daughter can easily hold it due to the rubber molding on the sides and back.Audio comes out fine, dont know if the rubber hinge for the USB charging will last long but we shall see Only downside is the cost is a bit much $50.00.
